These are my favorite albums from this past decade. These are not in
any particular order and all of them made my list for different
reasons...and there's about 35 of them.
Well I guess if you notice they are almost in alphabetical order haha because it was just easier for me that way.
The Academy Is..."Almost Here" Feb. 2005
I
remember hearing their song "Checkmarks" on the ride home from
Indianapolis airport. I loved the singer's voice. All of the academy's
albums were great but this one is by far my favorite.
Alien Ant Farm "ANThology" March 2001
This
album makes my list because of all the memories. This was pretty much
one of the first rock albums I bought in high school. Up until this
point I was listening to only rap and anything mainstream. Although
this album was mainstream it was also a gateway into the world of rock
for me. I remember listening to the song "Movies" over and over with my
friend Jen. This album is still one of my favorites of all time.
As Cities Burn "Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest" June 2005
Although
this album I don't necessarily believe was their best, it is the one
that stands out the most for me. And between their 3 albums it's a toss
up of which was the best. The lyrics in this album are absolutely
amazing and got me through a lot of tough times.
Brand New "Deja Entendu" June 2003
I
specifically remember buying this album and being like "WTF?!" It was
so different from their first album and at first I remember being
disappointed but then realizing this was some of the greatest music I
had heard. This was released right after high school for me so it was
kind of like out with the old, in with the new, as in me being able to
transcend into different types of music.
Dashboard Confessional "The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most" 2001 and "Swiss Army Romance" 2003
The
reason these two albums are together is because I had both of these on a
burnt cd and have never distinguished between the two. All I know is
that Kathryn and I were in love with this burnt cd of Dashboard. We
would drive around and sing these lyrics at the top of our lungs. I
give Don the credit of introducing me to them.
Emery "The Weak's End" Jan. 2004
Emery
is awesome. I saw them live a few times and they have the best live
show. Every album they put out, except "I'm Only A Man", could have
been on this list. I found them one day on amazon.com when I was bored
and looked at "suggestions for you".
Envy On The Coast "Lucy Gray" Aug. 2007
This
is on here for the songs "the gift of paralysis" and "tell them that
she's not scared". Those two songs are probably two of my favorite
songs of all time. This album reminds me of living in bloomington.
Fall Out Boy "Infinity On High" Feb. 2007
This
is on here because this was like the album that said "okay fine...i
can't do it anymore..i have to admit, i like fall out boy." My sister
was always talking about FOB and I think this was their best album. It's
contagious.
The Format "Interventions and Lullabies" Oct. 2003
Released
soon after high school graduation...this album was amazing. Memories
from this include the "sing along" at one of khris's parties. The
Format is probably in my top 5 bands of the decade, but there won't be a
list for that.
Further Seems Forever "How To Start A Fire" Feb. 2004
I
remember driving in the snow to Best Buy with Kathryn to pick up this
cd. And although I don't think I ever convinced kat that this band was
good, I loved everything about this album. Jason Gleason's voice is
amazing.
The Honorary Title "Anything Else But The Truth" 2004
Don introduced me to this band. It took me awhile to like them but I'm sad they are no longer a band.
Justin Timberlake "Future Sex/Love Sounds" 2006
This
is on here because of the song "Sexy Back". I remember many nights
dancing and singing to this song. Mary and I would drive around
blasting it.
Linkin Park "Hybrid Theory" Oct. 2000
I listened this album over and over and over. And passed it on to my sister. It was a perfect mixture of rock and rap.
Mae "Destination" Beautiful" Feb 2003
I love the singer's voice and really all of their music is just pretty. I even got Mary into them.
Mariah Carey "Charmbracelet" Dec 2002
I
remember driving around with kat numerous times listening to this
album. This was also the album she went on tour for that we went to the
concert. So this album, besides being good, has many memories.
Mariah Carey "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel" Sept. 2009
I think this is maybe possibly one of Mariah's best works since Butterfly. There's more singing, no rappers featured.
New Found Glory "New Found Glory" Sept. 2000
This album is all high school for me.
Northstar "Pollyanna" April 2004
Great music and well written lyrics. I remember driving to Parkland listening to this many times.
Paramore "All We Know Is Falling" July 2005
A good band with a female singer. This album always reminds me of the midwest and I don't know why...haha.
Saves The Day "Stay What You Are" July 2001
The last good album by Saves The Day. Kat and I loved "At Your Funeral"
Showbread "No Sir, Nihilism Is Not Practical" Oct 2004
I remember listening to "Mouth Like A Magazine" at cornerstone with Kat. This was just an entertaining album.
So Long Forgotten "Things We Can See and Things We Cannot" 2009
Some of the best music I've heard in awhile. Not to mention they are an awesome group of guys! I miss going to their shows.
Spitalfield "Remember Right Now" June 2003
I
just picked this album up by chance because it had a sticker on it that
said "if you like Taking Back Sunday..." I'm so glad I got this and it
makes the list because it's probably this best cd I bought just on
whim. Too bad they broke up.
Papa Roach "Infest" 2000
This
was probably this first rock album I bought. I remember buying it
right before my family and kat's family went on a little trip and we
listened to it nonstop. and we were SO COOL.
Straylight Run "Straylight Run" Oct. 2004
The only good album by Straylight Run....but one of my favorites!
Thrice "The Artist In The Ambulance" July 2003
I listened to this nonstop so it had to make the list.
Thursday "Full Collapse" April 2001
I
discovered Thursday around the time of Further Seems Forever. This
album has always held a special place in my heart. It has so much
emotion.
Underoath "They're Only Chasing Safety" June 2004
How
many times did Kat and I scream these songs at the top of our lungs in
our cars? Too many to count. Even though this album was not really
considered hardcore it definitely was an influence for me getting into
hardcore music. And who can forget kat's famous lip syncing video of
"It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door"?
The Used "The Used" June 2002
I
heard "A Box Full Of Sharp Objects" on a warped tour cd sampler and
fell in love with the used. This album also holds many memories of
driving around in the town of paxton.
Usher "Confessions" Oct 2004
I loved the song "Yeah".
Taking Back Sunday "Tell All Your Friends" March 2002
This
is probably number 1 or 2 on my favorite albums of ALL TIME. The
lyrics were amazing. Songs like "There's No "I" In Team", "Cute Without
The "E"", and "You're So Last Summer"...really I could just list all
the songs from the album. I don't think there is any other album that
had more of an impact on me.

Best Music in 2009
These are the albums I listened to most in 2009...

After not listening to this band for a long time and seeing them in concert by chance, I had to listen to their new album, and it's great.

From the minute I heard this album I loved it. It's fun.
7. Fun-"Aim and Ignite"

And Isn't It Ironic?
so earlier today i was having a lazy day playing some playstation, more
specifically little big planet. if you know anything about this game it
is addictive and quite annoying. but can be fun and i like to beat
levels because somewhere in my mind i feel like i'm doing something
productive....
well before i started playing it asked me to do a system update because otherwise the online part of the game wouldn't work...and i mean the online part isn't a huge deal but i thought what heck. so decided to do the system update that i had been ignoring for weeks.
i did the update. played for about an hour, became very frustrated because i kept dying. and turned it off and went and did other stuff. i had posted a status saying "little big planet made me want to break my ps3".
then about 730 tonight i decided to turn the playstation back on...and it said that it was corrupt and had to reboot the playstation using the default settings. in my mind this isn't really sinking in as to what was happening...i'm just going through the motions of resetting it. then i realize that it's like my profile was gone. and my two most important games will not load (little big planet and resident evil 5). lbp loaded to an extent but kept saying something about trophies will not work. RE5 was totally gone. but when i looked in my saved files all my games were still there but for some reason the ps3 just couldnt read the files anymore. don and i were thinking it was because my username had been wiped out completely.
so we looked online and tons of other people have had this problem. and it looks like it's linked to updating the ps3. and about the only way to fix it so far is to start all over, meaning losing everything you've saved.
and you don't understand.....we have played countless hours of RE5. and it's weird because we beat the game months ago and just recently decided to pick it back up and play some of the bonus levels. we have upgraded all the weapons we wanted...had infinite ammo...that means having to beat the game multiple times...there's still a few things we were working on...and now to have that all taken away because for some reason the ps3 cant read our save filed anymore.......it's more than frustrating.
after about an hour of trying to read online and think of what to do. don comes up with the idea that if the problem has to do with the ps3 trying to download info to play the game then maybe just unplugging the internet from the ps3 and playing it just like that...just maybe our problem would be fixed. i had little hope this would work...because it seemed like such a simple solution...and everyone online was talking about having to get a new hard drive, having to reformat the ps3...losing everything and starting from scratch.
so here were our options: not play resident evil or little big planet until sony could figure out what they effed up in the last update and fix it in the next update....reformat the ps3 and start over or try it without the internet. and so we unplugged the internet...and just like that all of our pretty weapons in resident evil were there...all of our accomplishments were there!! it was amazing...there seems to be some issues still with little big planet but it is still playable and i don't have to start over. so hopefully the issue gets solved so we can get back online....but i'm just soooooo thankful we didn't lose everything! hahah i know, sounds so stupid and dorky...but the game is awesome..
i'm starting to have a weird feeling though...it's that feeling you get when things just keep going wrong...it's like a cycle. yesterday my car broke down...today the ps3...and then right before i went to bed i went to the kitchen...turned on the light and it burned out immediately. i know, small problem, but still just adds on. so things come in threes or something like that...so 3 things breaking but fixed...please let my monday not be so bad. hahaha

New Music.
I've been listening to some new music and thought I'd share some of my thoughts on it...
Cartel-Cycles
I liked Cartel's first release "Chroma" but I was really letdown by their second...so let down that I didn't think I'd bother with them anymore. But I'm glad I did because their new album Cycles is really good. It sounds more like their first album and it's fun to listen to.
Dashboard Confessional-Alter the Ending
I was sooo happy to see that Dashboard provided an acoustic version of every song on this album. I like them so much better with just Chris and the guitar. I don't really feel like they have had a good album since "A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar". Even that release wasn't that great...but their new one is pretty good. I would definitely check it out.
Flyleaf-Memento Mori
I've known about Flyleaf for probably 2 years or more and I still can't form a consistent opinion about this band...one minute I like them...the next I think they are boring. I found it hard to listen to their first album from beginning to end because I would get bored, but I did like some of the songs a lot. And with their new release nothing much really changes for me. I like their harder songs better and was disappointed to hear that the new album really lacked anything like songs "So Sick" and the other one...forget the name. But I do like the album...and for the most part I think if you really liked the first one you won't be disappointed with the second one.
I've really been into Brendan Benson lately also...He's really good. And I can't stop listening to Brand New's album Daisy...! Even though I'm not in love with it like their previous stuff, it's still good....so that's it...bored and listening to music...thought I'd share what's in my playlist lately.

My Parent's House Is Haunted.
so after seeing the movie paranormal activity and it being halloween and
everything...i started to really think about the weird things that have
happened at my parent's house over the years. and i'm thankful that
i'm not living there at the moment otherwise i'd probably be too freaked
out to think about what it could be.
obviously my sister and i believe that our parent's house is haunted. it's not just that when you sit in the dark in the living room and look at the stairway you get freaked out...or that the basement is a little scary..it's that the place is really haunted and we have had many strange things happen. so here it goes.
i used to think i was just scaring myself or just thinking i heard noises, i mean it's an old house. but then when my sister also told me things that she heard i started to really think it was haunted. i feel like when i walk into my house i can feel something weird. some sort of weird presence. but it's mostly when i'm alone in the house. it's like i'm not really alone. i've spent many nights in that house with every single light on. or sitting in the computer room and having the door shut because i was afraid i would see someone walking through the dining room, even though no one was home.
the places where i have felt the most activity is the living room, the kitchen, the back stairway, and my bedroom. so let's start from the beginning. the first thing i noticed about the house was when i was up late either watching tv or on the internet in the computer room...i could hear like a conversation going on in the living room. the living room is right next to the computer room. it wasn't like i could actually make out words from the conversation it was more like 2 (or more) people were talking with a low voice because they didn't want to be heard. and this is what forced me to fall asleep every night with my tv on. because even when i was upstairs in my bedroom i could hear weird things going on downstairs. people talking...people moving about. so every night i would put my tv on and i would be able to block out anything freaky going on in the house. and my sister was also doing this too...
the kitchen. i have heard from a few friends that they have been in the bathroom and thought they heard someone in the kitchen, even though everyone was asleep. and i've been in the bathroom and have heard someone walk in the kitchen mess with cabinets and that would be it. like nothing violent just like someone getting something to eat or putting something away.
the back stairway. the back stairway connects the kitchen downstairs with basically my bedroom upstairs. it is a small, curving, creaky, old, wooden stairway. i've always thought it looked pretty cool. i mean how many people have a crazy stairway like that? it is very creaky, you can obviously hear someone come up or down. and it's right next to my room....so just about every night i've heard that stairway make the noise as if someone is coming up or down....and everyone is asleep. and we have cats so you may be thinking it was the cats...well cece was on my bed and chloe has a freaken bell on her so we know where she is at all times. and mimi...well it's been awhile since mimi has been in that house...just recently though my mom has confirmed that every night around 3 am she hears this creaking in the back stairway.
my bedroom. i believe that my bedroom is probably the most haunted room in the house. i dont know why. but even my sister who has slept in there has said she doesn't like it. maybe because it's so close to the back stairway? probably the craziest thing that has happened in this "haunting" occurred in my room. it was one night when i was trying to fall asleep. and i was just about asleep. i was laying on my left side. and over my right ear i heard "andi wake up!" it was a whisper...and i could feel the breath of whoever was whispering in my ear. and i was definitely awake for many hours after that. and i slept with the light on for a week. i was freaked out.
a few other small things...one time we came home and all my parent's dresser drawers were wide open. recently my mom also told me that she has been in the house and all of the sudden smelled roses. and this would be anytime of the year but seriously...we didn't have roses and if it was winter...
so after going through all these things i came up with one main theory of who this ghost is. i know that the house is over 100 years old. and when we first moved in i thought i remember hearing it was built by a father for his daughter as a gift. i'm not sure if it was a wedding gift...and maybe i've got this part of the house's history all wrong but...anyway. i've read in places and heard...and dante just recently saw on a tv show that having a back stairway was usually for a servant or a maid. they would use the back stairway so they wouldnt be seen. so i believe that this ghost is possibly a maid...and that explains the use of the back stairway so much and possibly the activity in my room...because her room probably would have been somewhere near that back stairway. and also the kitchen...the maid is cleaning! and the smell of roses...the maid probably cut fresh flowers and put them in the house. as for the conversation that i've heard in the house...i dont know. but the rest of it seems to fit together. and i wish i had the original floor plan of the house and the entire history like of past residents...did anything weird happen.
so basically that's it...that's all i have about the house. and i'm serious about finding out anything i can about the house so if anyone's bored...and is interested in finding out the mystery of this house...let me know i wanna work on it!
and when i go home...i still sleep with the tv on. but one thing i wanted to point out...even though these things are crazy and freaky...i dont really recall feeling terrified or really even that scared, just mostly freaked out. the things just really freaked me out...but i've never felt like i would be harmed or hurt. what do you think kelsey? and anyone else if you've had some weird experience...let me know!

and when i go home...i still sleep with the tv on. but one thing i wanted to point out...even though these things are crazy and freaky...i dont really recall feeling terrified or really even that scared, just mostly freaked out. the things just really freaked me out...but i've never felt like i would be harmed or hurt. what do you think kelsey? and anyone else if you've had some weird experience...let me know!

Crazy Dreams...
so i've been reading a lot lately, which is something i dont normally
do. but my boyfriend suggested i read this series of books and now i'm
hooked. the first book was monster island then it goes to monster nation
and the last monster planet...and these books are like zombies take
over...end of the world...watch out for the zombies stuff. not my
typical choice for reading but the books are extremely entertaining.
and they are a little scary. i've been having crazy and bad dreams for
like the past week!
mostly dreams about zombies taking over the world and me trying to get away.
last night i had a dream that me along with my whole family was on a hiking trip. something went wrong in the middle of the trip...i dont know what, but for some reason we couldnt go back to the car and we had to keep walking. and we got lost. we were lost for days....i remember in the dream i would text don and let him know were still lost and were still alive but we dont know for how much longer. it was scary!! then in the last part of the dream we go into like this underground tunnel...kinda reminded me of the subway because there were grates in the ceiling like in the sidewalks. for some reason we thought this would lead us home? luckily some people walking above us heard us through the grates and came to rescue us.
so we were rescued and i remember my family and i just sitting in this room and i get this idea that i should write a book about this experience. so i asked my sister if she texted a lot during this experience because maybe we could use some of our texts in the book. and that's basically all i remember. it was sooo weird!!!
i would have to say out of the books i've read these books have been having some kind of weird effect on me. i'm having dreams...and i'm thinking what if this really happened?! but seriously i dont think it could. i guess it didnt help that the first book took place in manhattan and it was so descriptive about the locations that i felt totally creeped out...even though i've only lived here for a little over a year, i knew the places the author was describing.
it's probably not helping that a lot of my reading is being done before bed.

Weird...
so i had some weird dreams this weekend...
first it started out that my parents, my sister, and my grandparents (linda and john) came to visit me in nyc. so we all were just walking around and we came to a park...which was a lot like pells park in paxton...small. there was some kind of festival there though so we were doing stuff there. then we decided to part ways to get ready to go out for dinner..so my grandparents went to their hotel, my family to theirs and me and don to our apartment. when i got home though i was like "i forgot my purse, my phone, my ipod, my camera and my car at the park!" honestly how do you forget a car? i dont know but it's a dream...so i'm upset but i'm still getting ready to go eat.
me and don get to the restaurant first and get a table. i get pissed and i'm like "i'm going to the park to get my stuff!" my grandma called to say that she had my car so now i just was missing my phone, camera, ipod, purse. so that was somewhat a relief but i still wanted my other stuff so i was determined to go to the park before dinner to find it. don tried to stop me but i went. luckily in my dream the park turned out to be just around the corner from the restaurant. there was a huge section of lost and found items. i found my purse, my phone and my ipod, but i couldnt find my camera anywhere! so i even looked in the grass...never found it.
all the sudden were all walking and my mom says were getting on a train to drop my grandparents off in ohio to see some of their friends. i didnt want to do this and neither did my sister. she was pissed. but we got on the train...my sister was like pouting the whole time ahaha. she started eating chips until she ate a whole bag...then she pointed at someone that had a beer and demanded they give her the beer. so they did and she chugged it. some guy sitting next to my dad was like "you really shouldnt allow your daughter to drink beer." but my dad just shrugged. all the sudden my sister puked every where all over the bus.
then change of scenery...i'm in house with my mom, dad and sister. my parents own a lot of property and they rent it out. one of our renters always sends the check and with it he sends a painting or a sculpture because he's an artist. we got a really weird sculpture and my mom asked me what i thought it was. i looked at it and said "it's king tritan from the little mermaid (you know ariel's dad)...she says "how do you know?" and i said "here's his face and beard and there's ariel and there's a crab"
seriously?! what kind of dream is this?!

Condiment Discrimination.
ok so i was thinking about something the other day...i was thinking
about mustard. not just any mustard but YELLOW mustard. back when i
lived in illinois, whenever i was at a restaurant...the ketchup would
ALWAYS be on the table but you would ALWAYS have to ask for mustard.
but when they did finally bring you the mustard it was always yellow
regular mustard....
here i have a new dilemma....not only is the mustard missing from the table but now when i ask for it most of the time i'm given a look like..."mustard....?" but then it's always the spicy mustard they bring. which i guess you can call it dijon. don't get me wrong i love spicy but this is not what i want!! it's a completely different taste!!! so i've pretty much gone from eating my cheeseburgers with lots of mustard of ketchup to only ketchup...i dont know i just cant get used to the weird taste the spicy mustard gives cheeseburgers and sandwiches.
so at delis i've learned to deal with it because i'd rather have spicy mustard than mayo or nothing...but the one place i've been able to rely on for my good sandwich with regular mustard fix has been subway. there is nothing better than the way regular mustard makes a ham cheese and pickle sandwich taste...but the other day i went to a different subway than usual...and what was there none of??! YELLOW MUSTARD!! i was like you've got to be kidding me! to some this may seem stupid or not a big deal! but just think of something that you crave and then you do not get that is what i'm feeling! why does mustard always get the short end of the stick!? seriously put it out on the table with the ketchup!! and if you are a sandwich place...freaken have all the condiments...you got ketchup, mayo, light mayo, relish, spicy mustard, honey mustard, ranch...and no freak plain old yellow mustard?!?!?!
stop the condiment discrimination! what did the yellow mustard ever do to the east coast?! why is it never good enough to be put on tables all over the country?! i'd like to know answers. but most of all i just need to go on a little rant about something because i havent in a long time!! hahaha

Birthday Surprise.
So all last week I was super excited because I knew that Don had
something planned for my birthday! I got off work early and we left
around 2:30. He had even packed a cooler full of dr pepper for me!! I
really don’t know New York that great so I had no idea where we were
going. Traffic was horrible and we didn’t get out of the city until
about 5:30 or 6. I started thinking we were going to Long Island, but he
was all like “no…didn’t you bring a book to read?” of course I hadn’t
so I read some story in one of his books.
Then it started raining and storming and I started seeing signs for the Hamptons!! I was getting so excited but I didn’t want to say anything to ruin his surprise. It was like 7 and we were starving and places to eat were getting few and far between. Then we started worrying because we forgot to get cash…and most places probably wouldn’t take credit. Luckily good old Chase saved us and we got some money. I was starting to get tired and cranky from lack of food and he told me we were going to Montauk! I was so excited because one day I was looking at a map and mentioned I wanted to go there because it was last place in New York and after that it’s just the ocean!!! So we found a burger place and then went to our hotel…which was only a small street from the ocean!!! We could hear the freaken Atlantic from our room!!
After settling in I realized it was almost 11 which I thought was weird because I remember it was like 8:30 when we were in the car last….more about this later. The weather had gotten better and it was no longer raining so Don suggested we go to beach. I was a little hesitant at first because it was so dark and kinda cold but then I was like okay….and I was pumped!!! So we walked over to the beach and he had a backpack with him which I really didn’t see as weird because we had stuff like our phones and towels. When we got there I noticed some people sitting around a bonfire and I said “wow, it would be cool to have a fire!!” but he didn’t really say much and we kept walking. Then he stopped and said “what would you say if we could have a fire….?” Then he started pulling out supplies to make a fire from the backpack and I was like oh my gosh!!!!!! I was completely surprised!! He had kept this a secret from me and it was so freaken awesome! It was amazing to sit around the fire and hear the waves and see a lightning storm that was going on far out on the atlantic. At the end of the night we saw some kids trying to get a fire started but failing repeatedly so we decided to ask them if they wanted ours. It was still going good and we were ready to go back. They were so excited and we didn’t have to deal with putting it out haha.
The next morning I woke up and looked at the clock and it said 7:16 which I thought was weird because I have a phone alarm that goes off everyday at 7…I was wide awake and decided to get on my laptop..the time said 6 am then I looked at my phone and it also said 6. Then I realized we had been living an hour ahead because the clock in the room was wrong!! Thanks a lot people hahaha, but it is nice realizing you have more time.
So we got up and had breakfast at a diner. The weather was beautiful and by 9:30 we were on the beach because it was supposed to rain in the afternoon. The beach was amazing!!!!! The water was cold but I just love being there. Around 11 Don said he had a restaurant in mind that he wanted to go to for lunch. So we got in the car and started driving. Soon I saw a lighthouse and we pulled into parking lot of a park. As were getting out of the car I’m like “where’s the restaurant?” He opened the trunk, pulled out some charcoal and said “right here!” There was an area to have a picnic…and there was only one other couple there. It was awesome!!!
Keep in mind that he had brought along a cooler with us, which I thought only had dr pepper and the entire time up until this point he was constantly saying “we should get ice, we need more ice, let’s get more ice!” and I was like “why do we need ice?! It’s only dr pepper it will stay cold forever in that cooler!” Now I knew why because at the bottom of the cooler in a bag he had prepared steaks and vegetables wrapped in foil and there were even Italian sausages! Hahaha it was amazing! So as were cooking the fog was rolling in from the ocean and you couldn’t even see the lighthouse that was right in front of us!!!! Then all the sudden the fog was gone and the sky was so clear!! The weather was beautiful!!! As we were eating though we had some crazy seagulls always trying to get our food when we were not looking. They were really terrorizing the other couple there though, one was trying to get in their cooler to get out food haha!!! Seriously though, I had NO idea we would be cooking out!!!!!
After eating we went up into the lighthouse and then we walked around this rocky beach that is on the eastern most part of New York. So it’s really really really ocean!!! The beach was also beautiful and the waves were big crashing against the rocks. It was an awesome day…I don’t know where the rain was because it was so nice and I got sunburnt haha.
Then we went back to the hotel and grilled out again for dinner because they had an area to do that there. We decided to go back to the beach again that night to make another fire. This night there were so many people there making fires and hanging out!! It was awesome!! Once again at the end of the night we gave our fire to someone else haha and we didn’t have to mess with putting it out again.
The next day we had to check out of the hotel and we drove to a place called Star Island. It was a very touristy area, with little shops and restaurants every where. We saw the coast guard base there. We also watched lots of boats coming and leaving since this was the area where all the boats passed by the bay to get out to the atlantic. There were huge fishing ships! We ate a restaurant and then decided to get on the road to go home, but we also decided that if we saw anything cool we would stop.
Our first stop was a state park right on the ocean. The beach was really nice but mostly it was just a huge camping area so we left. Then we wanted to go to a nature conservation area that we saw on the map. Once we got there though it was really just a beach area and you had to have a resident pass to park there. We got ice cream and left. Then we saw a fruit/vegetable market that said “pick your own strawberries”. So we stopped and got some strawberries haha. The last place we stopped was a petting zoo. This petting zoo was awesome! There were so many animals and they gave you a huge bucket of food and a bottle of milk to feed the baby pigs. I had fun feeding the animals and then I had an encounter with a llama. I was just feeding some llamas when all the sudden a giant one ran up to me and I thought “man, he must be hungry!” but when I tried to feed him he wouldn’t eat. Then all the sudden he raised his head and spit everywhere! I started running haha luckily none of that spit got on me!! It was hilarious!!!
So then we got back on the road to go home…we were in traffic for like 2 hours. And now I’m home….I didn’t want the weekend to end!!!! We had a blast!!! I will upload pictures maybe tomorrow! And honey if you’re reading this…..thank you so much for this awesome birthday surprise!!!! It was really really really amazing!!!

Bored.
ok so i'm bored. there's stuff i should probably be doing but i'm not. i
tried to go shopping today for some clothes but it was rainy and
shitty....i need to do some shopping!!!! in 2 weeks mary will be here
and were gonna go out and have crazy times and i want some new clothes
to do that in haha!!! i wish i could just hire someone to go shopping
for me though cause i really hate it...so anyone? i'd pay you. hahaha
it wont be much but seriously i hate shopping.
taking back sunday posted their new album on their myspace. i wanna listen to it but then i also wanna wait til it's released...so i listened to a few songs that i havent heard yet. so far i can't really judge or review it much but i think it should be pretty good...i hate saying i miss the old tbs cause i know a band cant stay the same but i just feel an intensity from them anymore. the reason i fell in love with them was their lyrics...and their sound and now i'm not so sure what that sound is and the lyrics have really lacked on the last album...so i dont know i havent had the chance to hear the lyrics much on the new one but i dont know. i also noticed they aren't using the dual vocals that were used to hearing.....grrr
so i noticed something in the past few weeks when i was driving home....like driving isnt so bad on monday, tuesday, wednesday....but then comes thursday and it's like all the crazy people came out to drive! and friday is even worse! it's like the lanes are all backed up...people are running red lights...pulling out in front of me...even the pedestrians get crazier! they just walk out in front of you like you're not there. seriously what's going on that it gets so much crazier!! in the beginning of the week it takes maybe 15 min to get home then as it gets to thursday it can take anywhere from 20 to 40! come on people!
